Once upon a time, when I was a young boy, my keyboard teacher told me she was sure I was going to become a composer.
Well, I still don’ t write symphonies for orchestras, but anyhow, I made it into electro clubs. My name is Jonas Saalbach, born in the
year of the Fall of the Berlin Wall and living in a provincial town in the middle of Hessen. At the tender age of 13, I came into contact
with German rap music, so the impulse to write rhymes onto my own beats made me create my first loops. Until now I am still flashed
by old drum loops and vinyl samples. I use them in combination with electronic sounds and coin downtempo, trip hop and chillout.
In 2006, I spend the first exaulting stunning moments with deep and melancholic techno and house music. Some years later, after
I had gathered some experience in arranging innovative sounds around the monotonous bass drum, the label ‚Flicker-Rhythm-Music'
got interested in my work for club productions. So my first vinyl EP got released in January 2011, after a digital release in July 2010
and I am certain, there are still some to come. Also the Frankfurt am Main based label ‚May Recordings' is intrigued by my
work. What shall I say to conclude? - I am just a passionate producer, DJ and Live Act!
